PE and Sport Premium

The Primary PE and Sport Premium funding at Eastburn Primary School has been effective in improving the quality of PE and sports provision.  We carefully allocated how we used this government funding to increase participation in sporting activities and enable children to develop greater skills in different sports and to improve their health and well-being.

A key aim of our strategy was to ensure that any funding was used to bring about sustainable improvements over the long term.  Much of this funding was invested in staff training and CPD to meet this purpose.

The Primary PE and Sport Premium was discontinued by the government at the end of 2025/26, and will be replaced by the PE and School Sport Partnerships Network.
